my 08 plan

i finally settled down from our two week manila-holiday just last sunday (the 6th). and so, my new year: 2008, officially just began yesterday (7th).

just like any other new year i face, there is so much on my mind: things i want to do, things i want to change and a few i want to keep. this year however, i plan to be different; be wise enough to know that i can only do so much; be smart & be strong to face challenges as they come, and finally to accept and do my best, whatever the outcome may be.

to top it all, this year, i decided to be happy: to relax & enjoy the time with my three bubbly kids, and my wonderful & loving husband :-) and though we are away from home—from our extended family and most friends; i am thankful for our life here in singapore, where it's progressive and peaceful.

a happy new 2008 to all!

Hi Mia,

Happy New Year to you and Jay and the kids -- missed you in Manila, but I guess you guys were really busy filling up your two weeks. as for me, i spent Christmas with the Palm Village gang and the next day with Prandy at their new digs at Valle Verde 1. left for Bora on the 26th and what an absolute riot! Tina Luz and her family - all 33 of them - were there at discovery shores - prandy and family were there too, my friends from Singapore, Hugh Hoyes Cock, Stephen Bowers and friends from Paris and Dubai were there, and of course my immediate community of friends - Binggoy Remedios (with whom I stayed - at the best place possible - Dos Mestizos - still the BEST restaurant in Bora!), Malou, her boyfriend Gene (gen. manager of Aria) etc... it was among the best New Year's vacation yet! my only regret during the holidays was that we werent able to get together.. still, I wish you and your kaboodles a really, much better year in 2008!

Hi Manong Teddy! I'm sure you had a blast in Bora (the place i so miss!)-u pa?? I was in the airport en route to Bacolod, with Manong Prandy (but i think their flight was canceled?). And he was telling me you will be meeting there with the rest!

Yes, I super regret not seeing you this trip. But u were right, we filled up our 2weeks too quickly that we were so tired by the end of it. Grabe!! Christmas season is not a good time to schedule things because it's too chaotic! Between Jay's family sched and Bacolod.. dead tired.

Next trip we should see one another!

Visit us na nga!:-)

yep, prandy and family told me that you and yours were at the airport the same time they left for bora (dec 28). super BEDLAM!! daw! at least 14 of my friends who came from europe, singapore and dubai were also affected by the delay in flights that day. sina prandy woke up at 4:30 am to catch their flight at 7:30 and you know what time they were able to take off? 4PM that day! buti na lang their flight landed straight in caticlan. sina hugh hoyes cock and two others in his group were at the airport at the same time as prandy, they left at 3 pm and they landed in kalibo! grabe! so when everyone got to bora, super lasingan! we all went to dos mestizos that night and partied/drank hard like anything - super relieved that the day's ordeal had ended and they were all finaly in bora. the foreign group (we were four tables in all; 3 occupied by sina hugh, steward, etc) were the most loud, and we were jumping all the way to hey jude to party after. gads Mi, you and J shouldve been there. anyways, hugh owes me MAJOR and is throwing at me na his home to use anytime i go to sing. its his bday sept 10 along with stewart (he used to be tonyboy cojuangco's partner in sana a company using 3g technology but didnt work out so he's now w/a company based in paris - he's bestfriend of hugh and hugh's two sons, alex and robbie - have you met him/them? stewart still keeps a place in sing which he's also offering me when i fly over) and since im sept 2 (tatlo ka virgos! can you handle that!!), they're urging me to celebrate my bday with them in sing! good prospect, right? maybe i'll bring malou and nina bustamante and we can all party there...looks like a plan's shaping. i'll keep in touch. in the meanwhiles, my fondest regards to all!
