carmen (tata men or menca) turns 1yr old today!
to anticipate this special day, a small and simple party was prepared last saturday (26th jan) at the function room of queens. we invited strictly only her playground pals, who she meets twice every day. it was nice to gather all the babies in one room and watch them play with tata men's toys, while we (jay and i) mingled and had a chat with the parents. the two singapore based ninangs --ninang aleli and ninang aura-- graced the occasion too. we missed her tita ninang (milet) because she was traveling that time....too bad. tata menca was in such a good mood that day. she was well behaved and a was good hostess too!
time is just too fast, sometimes i can't believe the baby i gave birth to one year ago is now starting to walk (yes, she took three steps the other day) and talk (says words like dada, up andtata!). plus, as early as now i can say that she does have a temper! but is a sweet loving baby... the household is so fussy over her, and i think she knows it! hahahahaha.. oh well..
i hope you guys back home can see how fun it is to see her grow up. she's a pretty neat kid, really. to give you an idea, here are just some of things she loves doing, so far:
- eat ice cream... (her super fave flavor: vanilla!)
- watches tennis or badminton with her dada and me (may matching sigaw na "ay" and clap too)
- crawls so fast, but when she's under a chair, slows down and ducks (parang malaking tao!)
- loves to watch wonder pets, and sings when the chorus sets in
- puts (any) toy on her ear and mimics "hello"
- she has a habbit of throwing anything in sight and immediately gestures "no-no no -no" (waving her index finger back and forth , as i taught her. malditang bata! character talaga)
- she can hold her bottle while drinking de-de. (this she did as early as 8or9months)
- and the best.....wakes up with a super big grin on her face and points out the door (meaning she wants to go down to the playground!)
- and a lot more... ----- basta, my daughter is officially cute!

tita tara (uy i call her tara-men, like u!) yes, i will post millions more of her while she is innocent, sweet and cute. pag brat na.. out na! hahahhaha.. she is still a jay-let huh??

yes, Mia, she's really a cute kid.. kag ka tahom sang iya mata! she's gonna grow up a beauty. kag may character gid. pareho kay mommy nya (maldita, haha!)
