educating carmen

as i deal with manang la's not-living-with-me & pao's more -than-a-month vacation state, i am preoccupied with carmen's once-a-week-kinder school; it's so amusing watching her strut her stuff in class. she actually thinks and acts like she's already four. hahahahahahaha.

as soon as she steps out our front door, in her uniform, no less... she brightens up and waves and says hello to all the people she comes across : people in the lift, then waves at the guards as they pass by and says hello unki (uncle) to the cab driver..... i think, she knows she is off to her class, where she is always praised and validated by her teacher—all the time "you are a clever little girl!" she is the epitome of "espapenders!," really! naku... if her lola pipin (my mom), the one who coined that word, could only see her. "basi kusi-on!" hahahahahaha...

vocabulary update: at exactly 1.5 yrs of age, aside from mummy & daddy, camen can say words in:

english- bye, ish (kiss), marny (barney), bop (baby bop) umwela (umbrella), mo more (no more), happy, apane (airplane), dagu (mango) it (eat), unki (uncle), ati (auntie), boat, away, lab (love), mine, e-cise (exercise), shus (shoes --oh and my does she love them... fashionista pa yata), sipper (slipper)

tagalog- ipip (ipit), taku (takot), saki (sakit), hala

and she calls her self: men-men.......
