on having said that, i recently read something that made me realize the kind of mother that i am. and it dawned on me that i have to change "my style" before the gap widens with my teen, not be able to control my pre-teen, and have a generation gap with my new born . that something i read is not even from oprah's book club or a top parenting site in google or wikipedia, yet it was so strong & powerful that it kinda hit me right smack in my face (kablam!).... freaked me out to say the least. scary! but i'm glad i came across it. now, i'm ready to make things right and make things work. just the way it should have been from the start. as they say its never ever too late, especially in parenting (kay oprah galing yan!)
that's my mothering 101 for now.
