Bangkok countdown 1: Home Inspirations

as soon as we arrived home in singapore, from our bangkok look and see trip (last 17 June 2010)  my immediate thought and focus where on two things:  

• a new dining table for the new open floor plan house  
• a king sized bed for our master's bedroom (at last king sized bed again!) 

so, as the weekend arrived,  we scoured most of the furniture shops we know of in singapore, and did the longest window furniture shopping ever.

here are my inspirations for the 

1.  new bed room.  i am feeling this four poster bed. i also want the clean and uncluttered-ness of this room.  how light this makes me feel. i should be able to pull this off, i think:-)   

2. kitchen and dining.     our home-to-be has an open floor plan.  i am excited, as most home mags i read, apply it.   its quite challenging but i am open to the change.   i am inspired by still a wooden table mixed with modern chairs.  something as modern and fresh, like this:

yet, for the chairs, i was thinking something more easy to maintain.  maybe like this?  

i have so many ideas.  i cannot wait to actually layout what i have against the new home....  


the movers will be here in less than a week to pack our belongings so tomorrow, we scour again to finally choose and buy.  if not, we do the buying in bangkok... but whatever the outcome, these images are what i will stick to!
