daughters

lately, daniella has been taking care of her little sister when either jay, our helper rita, or i can't attend to baby carmen. what a lovely sight to see, even when they just watch tv and baby carmen is on her lap.

wow, how time really flies. manang daniella will be 17 next month and carmen will be 3 months by then. i really embrace the thought that one day, daniella will have of her own—but, in due time (please lang!).... i actually tease her and tell her, now you know how it is really is to take care of a baby, so don't ever do foolish things as early as now :-) quickly, squeels out .."mom!" and i say "i'm just making sure......." and we both laugh....

well, manang la may be a bit messy (to my standards she says) and a bit "hilo" at times. yet, she has a good head on her shoulders. she knows what she wants (college in the states!...boston to be exact!) and is striving hard to get there. honestly, i'm not worried. little carmen on the other hand is heading the same direction. as early as now she shows signs of being headstrong. when her de-de is a tad late, she wails like she's not being fed or when she's being held uncomfortably, she kicks like a soccer player! well, i guess that's how a marchadesch woman really is, and should be! :-)
