a loyal treat

this is mary. she has been with the marchadesch family for more than 20 yrs now, and recently celebrated her 48th birthday (march 3rd). manong, peachy with the kids decided to celebrate and throw her party. it may have been a small party, but it was filled with love and gratitude.

how loyal is she? very. when my mom had a stroke in1984, she took care of her until she passed away in 2000. when my dad decided to bring our mom back home to bacolod last 1999 (i think), where mom could rest, relax and maybe recuperate well, she packed her bags without questions asked. unfortunately mom deteriorated and we lost her eventually. mary then went back to canlubang and continued to serve the family. then when my dad had a stroke three years ago, and he could not leave bacolod anymore, she did the same. packed her bags and again no questions asked. she now takes care of dad just like the way she did mom. and for that we are forever grateful.

mary, like our yaya beth (who has been with the family for more than 40yrs) and taba (who has also been with the us for more than 30yrs), are family to us already. they have shown more than loyatly to us... they have loved us unconditionally and have served us without questions. they are all a rare breed indeed.
