my 21K dream comes true!

na ang run!

just a year ago, talks between milet, blue, jay and i about doing the standard chartered 21k were all just talks; wish list so to speak.

honestly, when the three signed up for it, i thought about it a lot! and when i actually did, it was a half heartedly gesture. "ok sige na nga! kaya mo yan! 21k is just double, 2 loops lang of commonwealth-holland-tanglin route. short lang yan......" positive words to make me feel good; and mind you that was when i was just signing up pa lang! imagine!

well last sunday, 6 december 2009. that dream is no longer a dream :-) the unimaginative happened and i did it!!! we did it!! the big- four finished our first half marathon race of the standard chartered run 2009, and with flying colors! we raced with all our hearts and minds!!!!

i guess its really true that you will never be satisfied with what you have accomplished. don't get me wrong, i am happy with this run because i finished the race..... but my heart is set on trying to beat my time:-) that means i want to run the 21k again, soon !!! woohoooo..... woot woot (ha, i just learned what this meant last sunday!) besides it took me four 10k runs before i was happy with my time, so another 21k won't hurt, right? hmmm or maybe 3 more 21ks before i jump to the full?

let's see.......... as long as my knees, heart , body, mind and soul can take it.. ... why not run?
