yaya beth has been yaya beth way before manong (mario/doc) was born 43 yrs ago. joining my mom and dad when she was only in her 20s; she has never left our family since. yaya beth has witnessed all the ups and down of everyone in the family and has always supported, without question, when help from her was needed.
when jay and i told her that we decided to get married in canlubang, she immediately—and again without question— fixed and beautified the house beyond our expectations.
last march, i told jay that i wanted yaya beth to spend her 64th birthday here. he quickly agreed that a trip outside the country, to just rest, sight-see and play with tata menca, is the least we can give her.
she has said “salamat” more than a hundred times since she arrived here with me last 30th of August, but what she doesn’t know is that this one-month free trip we decided to give her, cannot even come close to what she has showed (and done to) our family. i’m sure my siblings will kudos to that!
belated happy birthday yaya b, last september 6!

i must say, some of THE BEST people on earth (with a few exceptions, like YOU, for instance - haha!) were born in September! so Yaya Beth is also September, Happy Birthday, Yaya Beth! I've always believed that a good person is one who knows how to show gratitude and say a meaningful THANK YOU to those who have done something good to him or her. and what you've done to Yaya Beth is a reflection of how you're exactly that - a good person. thats why i feel that my choosing you as one of my most favorite cousins is justified. I'm sure tita Pips up there is beaming with pride for what you did.
Love you, Mi! regards to J, hugs to the kids - particularly Carmen (she's getting more adorable, and always laughing! she IS a good natured baby - I wonder whether she got that from? the mom? or the dad, haha!) and please don't forget to tell Yaya Beth a belated Happy Birthday from me...

kidding aside, thanks. it means a lot that i am one of your faves..

hey marps!!! ay naku you are so right. j up to now is so bewildered how come our helps last so long with us yet the things they have to put with --especially with my mom before--is really something else sometimes -- like the breaking in of shoes!!!--hahahaha. gulay is so much like yaya b! so loyal!
ay naku marps, si chin kain ng kain! she splurges on food! oh but her crocks are are just ala crocks ha??!! i got her that in manila.. the one in shopwise :hehehehehe.. it fit kasi most of her scrubs.. hahahaha.. it's also her bday so nag double celebration sila..
yaya b. is having fun here naman. bring maia here na!
oooh marps... the pink dress of tata men is so cute. i love it on her. it's kinda short lang now but fits her na..
but most of all she loves the converse of maia's!!! naku she loves "walking" with it..
it's so nice to hear that tata men is using it already (the sneakers)!!! hay, you'll get ganado na cuz by now, they can be "dressed up" na so to speak. i remember i used to let maia wear this tie-side FOREVER and finally, when she outgrew them, i was oh so glad to GET RID OF them. kaka sawa to look at them in those!! i'll save pa more for tata men to wear.
p.s. greet chin na rin for us. maia still remembers her -- just last night, maia was making jim and i kwento about "balocod" or something that sounds like that (which means bacolod). grabe her memory.
